ABOUT THE MOTOR COLLECTIVE
An emerging movement of Pacific Northwest underground techno, MOTOR is bringing together similarly minded producers and DJs from Seattle and beyond, creating a burgeoning wake in the local scene and helping put the region on the experimental dance radar. Kicked off in 2012 as a party series loosely focused on local analog synth and hardware artists, it has since hosted live sets from such acts as Powell, Container, Pete Swanson, Hieroglyphic Being, Moon Pool and Dead Band, Prostitutes, and Strategy alongside the collective's main core.
Debacle Records launched MOTOR soon after as a sister label to release 12†singles, recognizing a demand for representation of the new swell of producers.
