The iconic North London venue, now under the ownership of The Columbo Group, has undergone a £3 million renovation.
Camden's Jazz Café will reopen on May 24th following a £3 million renovation.
The much-loved Parkway venue closed its doors back in February after being purchased by The Columbo Group, which owns London clubs XOYO, The Nest and Phonox. The revamp has seen the installation of a D&B soundsystem, a remodelled mezzanine and new food and drink options. The Columbo Group says the Jazz Cafe "will continue to offer a platform for jazz music both old and new, while also connecting the genre with some of the most sought-after names in electronic music."
The programming begins with a showcase for emerging Peckham collective 22a on Wednesday, May 25th, with Al Dobson Jr, Ruby Rushton, Reginald Omas Mamode IV, Tenderlonious, Jeen Bassa and IG Cultur performing. Other upcoming shows include Darkstar, Kutmah and Throwing Shade (May 28th), Dâm-Funk and Egyptian Lover (June 2nd), Pantha Du Prince (June 3rd) and Adrian Sherwood (June 17th).
