- The melodic Dutch techno producer will release his debut album on his own Wolfskuil Records later in the year.
Wolfskuil head honcho Darko Esser will release his debut album via his own imprint in November.
Having put out club-ready 12-inches for labels like Ovum, Curle and Wolfskuil, the Dutch producer is now ready to show the world a different side to his production talents on Balans. Rather than just being a collection of similar sounding club tracks, Esser has been experimenting with various tempos, influences and styles in order to try and create something fresh. You might not expect it from listening to his previous releases, but Balans is an album that stretches all the way from twee melodic electronica ("The Goodbye Song") to the stab-happy synergy of Amen breaks and 4/4 rhythms on "Pechvogel." Elsewhere, Esser dabbles in house of the minimal, tech and electro varieties, rounding things off with a sprinkling of ambient tracks.
The full-length will also be shortly followed by a bunch of remix 12-inches, with Claro Intelecto, King Roc, Chymera, André Lodemann, Benny Rodrigues, Gennaro Le Fosse and Nicolas Masseyeff.
