- The St. Petersburg bass maestro will release his debut album next month.
Russian dubstep artist Kontext will release his debut album late next month on Immerse Records.
Entitled Dissociate, the album shows Kontext further expanding his atmospheric, broken-beat style. While tracks like "Aeromonarch Attacks" and "Bilinguism" frenetically blur the line between dubstep and techno, others like "Plumes" and "On the Bottom of the Glass" implement found sounds and liquid textures in a way that harks back to artists like Monolake or Basic Channel. The record is Kontext's fifth release for Immerse, a Bristol-based label that has previously released artists like TRG, October, Appleblim and Forsaken. It will be available digitally and as a triple-LP.
