Kompakt debut at SXSW

- Tobias Thomas and Matias Aguayo will headline the Cologne label's initial bow at the Austin festival.
- Tobias Thomas and Matias Aguayo will help introduce the sound of Kompakt to SXSW festivalgoers later this week. The duo are set to be the first of the label's renowned roster to ever play at the indie rock-centric event. Thomas, who has recorded three mixes for the imprint, will no doubt be bringing his weighty record bag after a headlining performance last weekend at Kompakt's Panorama Bar residency, while Aguayo's appearance will be part of his current tour of America. True to the usual SXSW form, each will be playing multiple gigs throughout the week in Austin, giving dance music fans a number of chances to see them in action.
