Tim Sweeney, Air France, Oneohtrix Point Never and many more are lined up for the MoMa's summer music series.
The lineup has been announced for Warm Up 2010, MoMA's live music series at P.S.1 in Long Island.
Taking place every Saturday afternoon at P.S.1's architecturally-enhanced courtyard, Warm Up is one of New York's most popular summer party series. This weekend, they've got French duo Acid Washed and Veronica Vasicka, the New York DJ who compiled The Minimal Wave Tapes Vol. One. Over the next two months, the space will host indie and experimental artists like Animal Collective, Oneohtrix Point Never, Ratatat and Air France. DFA will have a particularly strong presence, with Holy Ghost!, Gavin Russom and Peter Gorden & Love of Life Orchestra all set to perform. Local beat mavens Tim Sweeney and House of House will both pop in for sets as well.
Aside from all the great DJs and bands, you can expect to get your chin-stroking fix at Warm Up as well (this is the MoMA, after all). Admission price includes access to all exhibitions at P.S.1, and the courtyard where Warm Up takes place will feature an interactive installation called "Pole Dance," which apparently involves an "interconnected system of poles and bungees whose equilibrium is open to human action and environmental factors."
