- The Underground Quality don will make his Windy City debut for (re)Chicago alongside Kate Simko and Mazi
Jus-Ed will make his first Chicago DJ appearance at the end of August.
The Bridgeport, Connecticut native has become synonymous with the sound of east coast deep house in recent years via his beloved Underground Quality imprint, which we profiled last year. Having spent much of the last year at the helm of Underground Quality showcases internationally, the DJ and producer will be armed with his microphone and a bag of deep cuts to headline the recently created series of events dubbed (re.) Chicago.
A collaborative effort between resident DJs Mazi and Kate Simko, and Volatl promoter Nadia Podolsky, (re)Chicago aims to restore the city's position of influence within the house music community to its halcyon days, by referencing both the roots of Chicago house and its newest sounds. Mazi is best known under his longtime moniker Audio Soul Project, while classically trained Kate Simko rose to fame through her association with the Ghostly International and Spectral Sound labels. So far, the party has landed guest spots from DJ Three, Deetron and Doc Martin.
