- The ex-Wighnomy Brother's next LP is due out in April on Pampa.
Robag Wruhme will release his next album, Thora Vukk, this April through Pampa.
The album follows Wruhme's split with Isolee from earlier this year, which featured an alternate version of the title track. As the Jena-based artist tells it, Pampa head Stefan Kozalla (AKA DJ Koze) urged Wruhme to make a full-length after he first heard that track. "Stefan told me: If you're in the flow right now, then produce an album! So I did, which took me half a year. During this time I worked a lot with piano Rhodes and field recordings." Some of those recordings include rattling dishes, the slamming of kitchen drawers and the sound of "mid-summer rain."
Thora Vukk is made up of club tracks strung together by more experimental "bridges." All of the songs were recorded last year, except for "Tulpa Ovi," an older track that was originally intended for the never-to-be Wighnomy Brothers album. As compared to his last full-length, 2004's Wuzzelbud "KK", Wruhme says the album is "more grounded and filled with melodies and self recorded samples—ideal for the bedroom or passenger cabins of any kind."
