- The '70s avant-pop LP will reappear on vinyl next month.
Half Machine Records records will reissue Roberto Cacciapaglia's The Ann Steel Album on October 24th.
The LP is a collaboration between the veteran Italian musician and '70s American model Ann Steel, with composition by Cacciapaglia and Steel on vocals throughout. An avant-garde artist with an interest in pop and electronic music, Cacciapaglia made most of his music using only six different notes, until The Ann Steel Album. Today, the LP is considered a precursor of the futuristic synth "sci-fi" pop of the '80s. The vinyl run on London based label Half Machine Records will be the imprint’s second release of 2011 after a two-year hiatus, and the first vinyl pressing of The Ann Steel Album since its initial run more than 30 years ago.
