- The Belgian artist will release a new album on Further Records in October.
Belgian producer Hans Dens, AKA Innercity, will release a new LP called A Lion's Baptism in October.
The album will be the prolific artist's first of 2012, following a run of more than ten releases in the past two years alone, most of which have been on cassette. It will come out on Further Records, a Seattle label known for its limited edition cassettes, though this one will be on vinyl. The album is in line with Dens' earlier work: heavy, pounding synth music with an emphasis on dub atmospherics and low-end, drifting in and out of ambient passages, described by the label boss as "loopy narcotic fractured dub/drone." It was mastered by metal musician James Plotkin, known for his work in bands like Isis, Sunn 0))) and Khanate. Like most of Further's releases, A Lion's Baptism will be limited to 300 copies, with 100 pressed on purple vinyl.
