- Hemlock's main man celebrates the imprint's 20th release with a mix of label classics and exclusives.
Hemlock Recordings Chapter One, a 65-minute mix by Untold, will be released in November.
Hemlock Recordings was co-founded by Untold (born Jack Dunning) and designer Andy Spencer in 2008, and played a central role in dubstep's mutation, introducing the world to Dunning's boundary-pushing take on bass music and to James Blake, who released his first single through the label. Pearson Sound (under his earlier Ramadanman guise and as Maurice Donovan), Pangaea, and Cosmin TRG have all contributed singles over the years. More recently, Untold released his own three-EP Change In A Dynamic Environment series on the label.
Chapter One draws from much of that material, along with exclusives from FaltyDL, Sei A, Guy Andrews, Randomer and Untold himself. All of those new tracks, plus Joe's "R.E.J. Bit" (which you can stream right here) will be released on three separate 12-inches, due out the same day as the mix. New remixes of Untold's "Stop What You're Doing" and "Breathe," by Kowton and Nautiluss respectively, will be released as digital exclusives.
