Damian Lazarus will celebrate his imprint's 10th anniversary with a number of label regulars.
A Crosstown Rebels crew, headed up by label boss Damian Lazarus, will head to Australia this weekend as part of their 10th anniversary Rebel Rave Global Tour.
Over the past decade, the London imprint has steadily grown to become one of the underground scene's most influential, with artists like Art Department, Maceo Plex and Deniz Kurtel helping boost the crew to the point of taking out the number one spot in RA's top labels of 2011. After another productive 12 months which included full length releases from Tiga, Jamie Jones and Acid Pauli, as well as parties everywhere from Lima to Berlin, the upcoming milestone will be celebrated with Rebel Rave gigs in more than a dozen countries around the world. The Australian leg will see Lazarus bringing Birmingham producer Subb-an (who recently contributed an RA Podcast), Detroit techno luminary Shaun Reeves, newcomer Francesca Lombardo and local jock Brohn along for the two shows.
Sydney is first up on February 16th in the sandstone surrounds of the Sydney College of the Arts in Rozelle, with an extensive local support lineup that includes Little Fritter, T-Boy, Sam Roberts and Ben Ashton playing from 12:00 PM. The following day, Sunday the 17th of February, the party kicks off at Melbourne's Brown Alley at 3:00 PM. Tickets to the Sydney show can be purchased here on RA.
