The Detroit techno pioneer will play four cities later next month.
Derrick May is set to return to Australia for a four-show tour this April.
Earlier this year, May was paired up with Jimmy Edgar for a double-disc compilation, We Love... Detroit, which "encapsulate[d] that classic Detroit techno sound", telling the story of his home city and its journey through dance music.
A regular on Australian shores, May is returning for a tour centred around the ANZAC Day long weekend, first playing Sydney's Goldfish on April 20th. He heads to Perth on the 24th to play at Amplifier alongside Berghain resident Ben Klock, before flying to Melbourne for a Smalltown show on the 25th at Brown Alley, again featuring Klock as well as bass-loving Bristolian Eats Everything. His fourth and final set will be with Adelaide promoters TechPhonics on April 26th at Electric Circus. Tickets to the Sydney and Melbourne shows can be purchased here on RA.
