- Ricky Eat Acid and Saint Pepsi will join the Hyperdub artist in her travels across the US and Canada in May.
Jessy Lanza has announced her first full headlining tour of North America.
The Hamilton singer and producer signed to Hyperdub in 2013, first popping up on an Ikonika track and then revealing her debut album Pull My Hair Back, which was co-produced by Junior Boys' Jeremy Greenspan and hailed as "one of the year's best debuts" in a review by RA's Derek Miller.
She's set to reap the rewards of her successful LP this year, with her first full headlining tour on this continent followed by a trip to Europe. After a one-off gig in Ottawa next Friday, April 4th, her journey will begin in earnest in Allston, Massachusetts on May 2nd, and then weave through Philadelphia, New York, DC, Chicago and Minneapolis. She'll head back into Canada on the 11th starting in Winnipeg, and then she'll go west through Saskatoon, Edmonton, Alberta and Vancouver, before crossing the border again for three final US shows in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco. The string of dates will wrap up in Toronto on May 23rd.
Lanza will be joined for the first half of the tour by Maryland producer Ricky Eat Acid, and for the second half by the disco-loving American vapourwave artist Saint Pepsi. Ottawa's Twin Voices will open the Saskatoon gig.
