Willie Burns and Simone White join on the March and April bills.
San Francisco party Sure Thing has booked Omar-S and Willie Burns on March 21st and Simone White and Moon B on April 2nd.
Since late last year, Sure Thing has presented acts like An-I, Silent Servant and Jack Murphy, most recently bringing Jay Daniel to the Bay. For the 21st, they'll stay Detroit-minded with Omar-S in the headlining spot at F8. WT Records boss Willie Burns will spin a support set, likely armed with obscure vinyl gathered in Brooklyn record basement The Thing.
In early April, the party takes a different path with LA singer-songwriter Simone White. Despite her delicate, folk-derived sound, White's been increasingly present in the dance music world as of late. She was remixed by Kassem Mosse on a 12-inch released by her label Honest Jon's, a record RA gave the Recommends stamp of approval to. Recent LA transplant Moon B will also bring his boogie-funk sound to the bill, which also includes EULA, Prawns, Dhra and Sure Thing's Aaron J. That gig will go down at the Public Works Oddjob Loft.
Tickets for both events are available on RA.
