Jimmy Edgar, Carl Craig play Minimal Effort New Year's events

- The LA promoter will throw a New Year's Eve bash followed by a recovery party the next day.
- Minimal Effort has announced the lineups for its two New Year's shows. The LA concern throws a few parties a year, and last popped up with a Halloween gathering held at the Belasco Theater. For New Year's Eve, they're back at the historic Downtown location with four stages. Ultramajic boss Jimmy Edgar and label signee Danny Daze headline the Theater, with support from popular Dirtybird jock J.Phlip. Andhim and Fur Coat, who have both played Minimal Effort events in the past, are top billings for the respective Ballroom and Basement areas. Minimal Effort has also brought in California party throwers Lights Down Low to program a stage, which veers in a darker direction, with CLR act Black Asteroid and local hero Silent Servant. The New Year's Eve show also sees a number of established LA DJs, such as Jeniluv, Droog and Masha, on support. The crew is back at it the following evening at Couture, where Detroit don Carl Craig will get in the mix. Audiofly is also on the Hollywood bill, as is Dance Spirit, who will perform live.
