The dubstep don will celebrate his label's tenth anniversary next month with a tour alongside Kahn, Neek and Om Unit.
Deep Medi's ten-year anniversary tour will hit the US and Canada starting on March 30th.
It's been a decade since Deep Medi Musik opened its accounts with the iconic Kromestar 12-inch Kalawanji / Surgery. The label—run by Digital Mystikz producer Mala—helped define dubstep's more meditative side, and has expanded its sound in the last few years with a new generation of producers like Gantz, Commodo, Kahn and Neek. Mala will head out on a nine-stop tour of the US and Canada in celebration of Deep Medi's tenth anniversary, with Kahn and Neek joining him for the whole run of dates. The two grime producers will also play as Gorgon Sound, which is their separate reggae and dub project.
The crew will land in Boston first for a gig at the intimate Middlesex Lounge, then swing through DC, NYC, Miami and Minneapolis. They'll hit the West Coast on April 6th with a stop at Kremwerk in Seattle, followed by Vancouver, SF, Denver and LA. Om Unit, who runs the label Cosmic Bridge, will join them at stops in Vancouver, San Francisco and LA.
Tickets for their San Francisco gig are available on RA.
