The 500-capacity space, located between Hackney Wick and Bow, will open to the public in November.
The creative team behind the fire-damagedStudio 338 will launch a new club in East London later this year.
Initial news of the venue, called The Bridge, first broke via Facebook on Tuesday, August 23rd. (That post also announced plans to rebuild Studio 338.) More details have now been revealed, confirming that the 500-capacity space has two floors, several outdoor areas, state-of-the-art lighting and VOID Acoustics soundsystems throughout. It's located on the border between Hackney Wick and Bow, and will host preview parties in September and October before officially opening in November. The Bridge's Music And Events Director, Dan Perrin, also held the same post at Studio 338.
"The Bridge is an exciting new direction for my team and I while we work on rebuilding Studio 338," said Perrin. "The smaller size presents an opportunity for some really cutting-edge programming and we already have a number of my friends and favourite promoters onboard, like Toi Toi and Undersound, as well as my own co-owned Art of Dark, for the initial preview parties. My plan is to create a program that is a mix of residencies from some of the most forward thinking promoters and DJs, as well as staging long sets from some of the world's best selectors for our in-house series of events."
