- "The rawest you'll ever hear Max."
Max Graef is putting out a record through Apron.
The label, run by Funkineven, is having quite a year so far. In addition to releasing its founder's well-received debut album, Apron has also issued records from John T. Gast, L.M.Y.E., Brassfoot and others. The latest signing is Berlin producer Max Graef, the Ninja Tune affiliate most often associated with a hip-hop-influenced, often downtempo sound. Apron EP is a little different, with heavier drums and a more straightforward approach—or, as the label says in a brief press release, "the rawest you'll ever hear Max."
