- The collaborative 12-inch is out on Mosaic in April.
Steve O'Sullivan will release a collaboration with Ricardo Villalobos, Sullric, on his Mosaic label this spring.
The ten-minute long track was the result of a day-long 2016 session between the two veteran producers. O'Sullivan, who has been exploring his dubby signature sound under his own name and aliases like Bluetrain over the last 20-odd years, recorded several hours worth of material with the Chilean-born Villalobos. The two producers then edited the recording down to their favorite section, which they worked into a regular version as well as a dub. The result is two minimal rollers encompassing both O'Sullivan's depth and Villalobos's rhythmically complex psychedelia. The press release puts things simply: "If you're seeking some heavy beats with weird shit on top look no further."
