The Los Angeles festival has pulled the plug due to poor ticket sales.
FYF Festival has cancelled its 2018 edition.
The news came via the FYF Fest Twitter account, a little over a month after this July's lineup was announced. The cancellation, a huge reversal of the LA festival's fortunes, is due to poor ticket sales throughout the month of April, Billboardreports. Headliners included Janet Jackson and My Bloody Valentine, with a strong dance program featuring Courtesy, Daniel Avery, Jayda G, Lena Willikens and Yaeji.
Last November, FYF founder Sean Carlson was ousted from the festival after reports of sexual harassment surfaced. Talent Buyer Jenn Yacoubian, who has been with FYF parent company Goldenvoice since 2009, subsequently took over booking.
FYF notes they will be announcing local shows featuring acts originally booked to perform at the festival.
