- The double LP has also been remastered and is out today on Mana Records.
Nicolas Jaar has released his 2015 LP, Pomegranates, on vinyl for the first time.
Originally released digitally on Jaar's own label, Other People, Pomegranates is an unofficial rescoring of the 1969 Russian film The Color Of Pomegranates.
The London-based label Mana, which describes Pomegranates as "longer and slower-releasing than his other albums," will handle the vinyl release, which is out today. They say, "We have been planning to work with Nicolas for several years in some way after hearing and identifying with the poetic narrative and strange, beautiful sonic qualities of Pomegranates that didn't feel tied to boundaries of genre." It was remastered by the Berlin institution D&M and also includes a new sleeve designed by David Rudnick, who worked on the recent Oneohtrix Point Never LP.
Jaar's last full-length under his own name was 2016's Sirens. He also put out an LP earlier this year under an alias, Against All Logic, of dance floor-friendly material.
