The well-loved Skalitzer Strasse haunt will throw its last party at the end of May.
Farbfernseher is closing.
The Berlin club announced the news with a post on Facebook this morning, suggesting that high rental costs were part of the decision to close. A final party will take place in late May.
Since opening in a former television store on Kreuzberg's Skaltizer Strasse in 2009, the club provided space for both budding DJs and established names to perform in an intimate setting. Thanks to its small size and low admission costs, the space felt busy most nights.
The likes of Delta Funktionen, Claire Morgan and Derek Plaslaiko are all set to play in the coming weeks.
