- Originally circulated among a small group of chillout DJs, the LP is getting picked up by Safe Trip 26 years later.
Young Marco's label, Safe Trip, will reissue the 1992 ambient house album by Trans-4M called Sublunar Oracles.
The 26-year-old LP failed to make much of a splash outside of a small circle when it came out, the label says, but it's now considered a lost classic of the ambient house era. Trans-4M was the duo of Stefan Van Elsen, a club and radio DJ on the Belgian scene since the 1980s, and his brother Dimitri, a jazz pianist.
Sublunar Oracles, their first album, was inspired by the ambient house and chillout sound of acts like The Orb and The KLF. There's a conceptual angle to LP, the label explains, though they've chosen to let the public figure it out rather than explain the narrative themselves.
