  • Update, March 18th, 11:13 AM GMT: Despite optimistic signs last week when this news was first published, Glastonbury Festival has since cancelled its 2020 edition. Tickets for this year will roll over to 2021. Full statement from Michael and Emily Eavis here. The original news post is as follows. Glastonbury has announced its 2020 lineup. Commenting on the odd timing of the announce, the festival—set to go down at Worthy Farm between June 24th and 28th—posted a note on this year's event:
So, after much consideration given the current circumstances, and with the best of intentions, here is the first list of musical acts for Glastonbury 2020. As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so. No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth! As always this is just a taste of what is to come, we plan to announce many more artists and attractions, area by area, over the coming weeks leading up to the full line-up in May. In the meantime we post this with much love to all. Emily [Eavis, Glastonbury co-organiser]
The 2020 Glastonbury lineup includes The Avalanches, Caribou, Charli XCX, FKA twigs, Groove Armada, Happy Mondays, Kendrick Lamar, Pet Shop Boys, Thom Yorke, Thundercat and many more. As previously announced, Diana Ross will perform and the festival capacity will be increased to 210,000. Check out the full lineup to date in the event listing.
