- The LP, co-produced with André Bratten, is out in August.
Berlin-based saxophonist and composer Bendik Giske has announced his third album.
Spanning five tracks, Cracks is slated for release on August 27th via Smalltown Supersound. Made in collaboration with producer André Bratten, the LP touches on experimental jazz and ambient as it explores themes related to the human body. It also draws inspiration from the writings of George Sorel and theorist José Muñoz.
Cracks is Oslo-born Giske's latest full-length after 2019's Surrender and a joint work with Pavel Milyakov, AKA Buttechno, from earlier this year. In 2018, Giske also released the EP Adjust—read our review of that record.
Listen to "Flutter," a single off Cracks that features Giske tapping his saxophone keys to create percussive-like rhythms.
