- It's out November 12th on Carrying Colour.
Duval Timothy and Rosie Lowe have announced a collaborative album, Son.
Arriving via Carrying Colour on November 12th, the nine-track LP was recorded between 2019 and 2021 during sessions in both London and Freetown. The record was inspired by the pair's shared love of choral music and started out as a way for Lowe and Timothy to experiment with using vocal layers as instrumentation.
"We were interested in bringing our surroundings into the recordings," the duo say, "leaving doors open, recording in different spaces and locations, inviting the listener to experience the life that was going on around us while capturing the process."
The lead single and title track is out now, and tells the story of how we often try to hide our true selves in order to fit in.
Listen to "Son."
