Founders Posthuman and Luke Vibert will be joined by various guests at shows across the UK and US.
I Love Acid, the UK party run by Posthuman and Luke Vibert, is celebrating its 15th birthday with a tour.
The first event, with DMX Krew, will be at Glasgow club The Berkeley Suite on October 14th. Beginning that same night, I Love Acid will then move stateside for October shows in Detroit, Chicago, New York, Denver and San Francisco.
Also on October 14th, Vibert, Todd Osborn and more will play at Detroit club Marble Bar, with Lauren Flax and Posthuman going back-to-back. The Chicago party at smartbar on the 15th will form part of city-wide weekender Viva Acid. On the 20th, I Love Acid takes over Good Room in New York with Lauren Flax, WTCHCRFT, DJ Warp and a TBA guest. Then it's over to The Black Box in Denver on the 21st and Public Works in San Francisco on the 27th.
Back in the UK, I Love Acid will host a residents party at The Social in London on November 4th. Next is a show with Ceephax Acid Crew at Hare & Hounds in Birmingham on November 18th, before a takeover of Kable Club in Manchester on November 25th.
"It's crazy being 15-years-old," Posthuman told Resident Advisor. "Not a lot of club nights even last this long―I was only in my 20s when I Love Acid started. It was never meant to be more than a one-off party, so to now be heading out with Luke on tour and taking it across the USA, and to the true home of acid itself―Chicago―I never could have predicted this."
He added: "We've seen a new generation coming to the parties, but also the old heads who were there first time around. It's normal at an I Love Acid bash to have 18-year-olds dancing in the crowd alongside people in their 50s... I guess it just goes to show the enduring love that there is for acid and the little silver magic box!"
