  • Ear Pimp makes their debut on the retail market with their first compilation Ah-tchoo. The Sydney based label will make surely make its mark with this release that features 12 tough, dirty and a few delicate records that are sure to turn many heads. Sodomsonic open the cd with an early highlight by the name of “Lesbian Lavaline”, an 8 minute tough driving journey into the world of phone dating! Rantzen & Spinoglio go back to the retro days with a deep pulsating electro journey in “Cut to the Groove”. “Enough” by Raycie Puttycat is a quirky little sleazy record while Rantzen & Spinoglio return with another techy cut in “Zero Two”. The driving electro sounds of Mark Murphy’s “Maggot” gives the cd a bit of an edge while “No Danger” by Non Bossy Posse incorporates some delicate beats into the album. Christa Hughes and The Maestro Surgeons provide a unique and distorted end to the compilation with “Amphetamine”. Overall Ear Pimp definitely provides something unique with this release. I can guarantee you that no two tracks are alike, all incorporating something a little different. Straight from Darlinghurst, the sound of this album very much represents the place it was made. Unique, Exciting and most of all Diverse. Check it out.
