- A blend of UK garage and dub techno with serious bite.
- If you've ever wanted to hear a Rhythm & Sound remix with serious bite, Al Wootton's 12-inches this past year have presented DJs with a few compelling options. On Selah and Natural Forward, Wootton, better known as Deadboy, has confidently combined Hard Wax-adjacent techno, soundsystem dread and the early '00s UK garage of Ghost or the label ShelfLife. This moody mix blossoms on his new EP, Body Healthy. That's especially true of the spectacular title track, whose explosive ragga MCing, cutting through lots of satisfying dub and dub techno sounds, will do the business on any dance floor. Two other tracks here, "Prophecy" and "Bad Sound," are smart variations on an enticing theme.
